Horizon Bank invests $100,000 in minority business lender Lynx Capital Corporation

More financial resources are available to Indiana's small, minority-owned businesses as Horizon Bank is investing $100,000 in Lynx Capital Corporation. Lynx Capital is an Indianapolis-based company that provides loans and guidance to Hoosier businesses owned by minorities throughout Indiana. Lynx funds projects of at least $75,000 to companies with five employees or more and that have been open for a minimum of three years. Horizon Bank Regional President — Central Indiana Dan Hampton and Jean Wojtowicz, executive director of Cambridge Capital Management Corp., the group that manages Lynx Capital, announced Horizon's investment in Lynx. Hampton says, "Horizon Bank has a long history of assisting small businesses and we share that passion with Lynx Capital Corporation. Horizon's investment in Lynx will help many of our minority-owned business neighbors start and grow their companies. This investment helps us reach out to some of the underserved communities in our market" Wojtowicz welcomed Horizon Bank's investment, saying, "Lynx has provided more than $7 million in loans to more than 90 minority-owned businesses since 1991.
